Addicted to You Book PDF Summary

Despite all the rules and clichés, this book breaks them all. It’s so different. It was impossible for me to think about anything else due to my intense involvement in the story. There’s something so wrong about it, but it’s also so addictive. The series is really impressive, so I’m going right to Ricochet. If you are looking for something that is a little sour, I highly recommend this book. In this story, I found myself crumpling up all my expectations like a paper airplane.

The good news is that I now have a brand new, shiny jet to fly instead. Good books give me an adrenaline rush. Addicted to You had it! It came out of nowhere after months of searching through countless books. This book completely captivated me. In the characters. In their story. I lost track of time. I’m still caught up in their life. They have me.

I love it when a book steals me away. Based on the synopsis, I expected sex to be abundant, but it wasn’t. I found that very refreshing. When a story is so engrossed in the sex, it can sometimes lose track of the story. There is nothing more aggravating than sex without any buildup, tension, or story. There wasn’t a lot of description in the scenes. Despite the fact that they were perfect, they did not take away from the true emotion of the story.

Loren Hale and Lily Calloway have perfected relationships that are toxic, codependent, and enabling. Lily is a sex addict and Lo is an alcoholic. In order to feed their addiction, they pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend, so that they do not draw too much attention or suspicion from their friends and family members. Since childhood, they have been best friends, and they’ve seen each other at their worst, but they lean on each other for support because they know each other’s deepest and darkest secrets.

The fortress provides protection from the outside world. There are so many flaws in Lily and Lo’s character that it is obvious they are on a downward spiral. My empathy for their self-hatred, misery, and coping was clear, but sometimes I had trouble connecting with either of them because their addictions were so hindering and isolating that I could no longer relate to them.

Additionally, I was unable to understand when and how their addictions began, although I suspect that information will emerge later. There is a bond of trust and affection between them despite their dysfunction. It is obvious that they are more than friends, even though they pretend to be a couple. Their addictions undoubtedly rule them, and neither will give up their vices, regardless of their love for each other.

Although Lily does not think her addiction is as dangerous as Lo’s, she is in denial about it, just as she is about the danger it poses to herself and others. In some circumstances, I could see how badly Lo and Lily needed love, support, and stability. It was also frustrating to see them not helping each other the way they should. Rather than fearing the unknown, change, or loss, it’s more about keeping the devil you already know that discovering the devil you don’t know.

Although Connor pushes people away and doesn’t have any friends, the book gets really interesting when he enters the picture. The narcissistic honesty of his statement had me laughing. My interest was definitely piqued when Ryke was introduced since I could definitely relate to Connor and Ryke. In the last 10-15%, I felt like I understood Lily and Lo better, and by this time, I felt a deep sense of connection. Despite the issues Lily and Lo have, I wouldn’t really call this a romance, since the obstacles they are facing are so disabling, but they need to come to terms with each other if they hope to build a future together.
