Glow PDF Book Summary

This novel leaves you with a soft glow in the darkness, as opposed to the last novel which left you emotionally drained. Every single page of the book is beautifully written, the characters are memorable and the story will captivate you. As we learn more about our male protagonist’s past, we are able to gain a deeper understanding of his character. There is a further development in this storyline and relationship, but we are still unable to see the true Greco-Roman Hero emerge from this story. There is still something about the symbolism or connection to the phoenix that doesn’t make sense to me.

This is one of the peculiar things about this novel in that the reader keeps waiting for the characters to embrace their full potential. However, to no avail, they do not. It is true that our leading lady frustrates and surprises us with some of her development, but she is still not where she needs to be yet. There is never a moment in the book when it seems like the protagonists will win, but they never do. It seems that the characters are being beaten up and beaten up over and over again. Not ever heroes and not truly villains either.

The novel ends on a cliffhanger that leaves the reader asking the question, “Now what?”. So we wait for book five and hope we get what we are all waiting for in a good dark romance… Or maybe this is really just a dark tragedy. This book showed a lot of character growth for Auren. She found more of her magic and herself. She struggled and had to figure everything out on her own. There is something heartbreaking about what she had to go through and how she was able to overcome it. Space is right there with her through it all. I love that they are willing to be villains for each other.

The world-building is fantastic, and there is a good mix of magical elements that are unique and perfectly suited to the story. The ending is heartbreaking and unexpected. In Raven’s Plated Prisoner Series, the fourth book has been written to a high level of excellence! Raven’s writing just keeps getting better and better. I love Auren’s world, characters, and friendships. Through Raven’s writing, it is evident that the character’s journey is a journey that is keenly felt. I loved the twists and turns and surprises. It has become such a pleasure to read about these characters that I wish there was no end to their story.

There are many aspects of this book that made me cry, make me feel, and made me think about what it means to be strong inside. It is in this way that Raven Kennedy writes of physical and mental trauma as it is described in a way that is soul-wrenching. Her character has been traumatized in a way that can never be recovered from. The kind of trauma that alters your soul to the point that you hope that they become villains and revel in their vengeance when they become so. This book by Raven Kennedy made me weep for characters who are only words on a page and cannot be more than that.

There is something gut-wrenching about the hardships her characters have to go through while trying to heal and gain control of their lives. While reading this novel it is difficult to swallow the love between characters only to have them constantly torn apart, yet I was unable to put it down. Nothing is more important to me than the happy ending that each of the characters gets at the end of the story. Even if they become villains in this story. Even if they destroy the world.
