Layla PDF Book Summary

This is a story that is told from Leeds’ point of view. The story begins with how he met Layla and the journey they go on together to get back to the place where their relationship began. There are some chapters in the book that takes place in the present, where he is trying to figure out what has happened to them, and then the rest of the chapters are flashbacks that mostly focus on the time they spent together since arriving back at the bed-and-breakfast where they met.

There is something about the way this is done that is captivating to me because from the beginning you are aware there is something wrong with them, but you don’t know what it is. Things are being revealed little by little, but you are still unsure of what is going on until everything is revealed. Despite the fact that you think you know what you’re doing, suddenly you realize that you don’t. The way I felt while reading this was so shocking to me that there were so many conflicting emotions that I had to deal with.

There have been times when I felt angry with Leeds, because of how he is handling things, but then there have also been other times where I feel he is handling things quite well. To be honest, he probably has a better understanding of his situation than most people in his situation. It’s then when he meets Willow that everything changes. Both Layla and her felt bad at the same time. It was hard for me to feel bad for Leeds one minute, and then slap him the next.

My feelings towards any of them didn’t make sense in the end, so I wasn’t sure who I was rooting for. Despite being able to justify every aspect of the situation, I couldn’t do so simultaneously. No time during the book did I lose interest, even when the story went in a completely different direction. Considering it was not at all what I was expecting, it would be an understatement to say it was wild. In spite of this, it turned out to be everything I had never expected when I started it. As far as the outcome was concerned, it was exactly what should have happened given the scenario that played out.

In spite of the fact that I had no idea how things would end or even what I wanted to happen, things worked out in the only way they could have regardless of what I may or may not have wanted to happen. As it turned out, the closure was really all I needed and that’s exactly what I received. I would suggest that you do not pass this one up and also do not give up on it either. In spite of the fact that you may think you can’t possibly keep going because of how you’re feeling about Leeds and his actions, believe in the process and keep going.

After you’ve read the last line of the book, it will become clear to you what’s going on. There is no doubt that Layla was an entirely different book for Miss Hoover, but the romantic underpinnings of the story can be found in the relationship between Leeds and Layla (our narrator). Throughout much of the story, there are some unforeseen events that will change the way these two will interact for the majority of the story, but Leeds is battling all of these feelings and trying to understand what is happening to him.

I enjoyed the twist but also felt some sort of way towards Leeds. As a character, I don’t know how much I liked him as much as I did at the beginning of the book. And Layla? I liked her at the beginning. I wanted more of that Layla. Then things changed. It was hard to get on board with them as a couple…..until we got the twist.

It is true that this book is classified as a paranormal book with those elements, but I would still classify it as a romance book more than anything else. Even though the supernatural was a major focus for the majority of the book, I felt that I felt more of the romance (and the questioning of the romance) than the paranormal. With paranormal, I want to be freaked out a little bit. I got the strange and unusual, but not the scary element. If you are a romance lover who wants to try a little something different from what you usually read, then this is the book for you.

Layla and Leeds are the main characters of this book, which is a paranormal novel for adults. Upon meeting at her sister’s wedding, they feel a strong connection right away. After moving to Nashville, she ends up staying with Leeds for the rest of her life. They fall madly in love and are enthralled by each other until one day Leeds posts a picture of the two of them together on the internet by accident. Following that, their lives completely changed for the better. This is a great book – highly recommended!

As for the suspense and twists in the second half of the book, they were neither disappointing nor disappointing at all, and Hoover once again showed how she was able to push the limits of her thoughts and awakened emotions I never thought I would be able to experience. “Showers transform women. It is such a shock to see Colleen’s hair flat, her make-up smeared down her cheeks, her concealer going down the drain.” Colleen, I am so sorry for what you said.
