Piranesi Book PDF
It’s a great read and you will easily find yourself lost in the other world. The story begins with the main character introducing himself to the reader. He lives in The House, alone but for his friend, The Other. The Other calls him Piranesi, but from the start, he assures the reader that he does not believe this is actually his real name.
Piranesi wanders in a mysterious labyrinth of giant halls filled with myriads of statues, with the sea beating underneath. As he tells us more about himself and the people he knows, we begin to realize that not everything is as it seems.
The story unfolds itself via the musings of Piranesi, and his observations about everything and anything that he encounters in The House. This includes the 13 dead people, The Other and himself, who are all the people who have ever lived in that part of the house. Then there are the statues and the tides.
From here we learn with Piranesi that all might not be as it seems. The Other warns our hero of 16, his mortal enemy who has come to talk to Piranesi. Talking to 16 will drive him mad, he is warned. From here on the story flows and meanders, taking the reader on an exploration of loneliness, realization, and an exploration of reality and self that is as beautiful as it is deadly.
