About the book
This book is full of mystery and intrigue. You’ve got an enslaved assassin FMC who ends up being kidnapped by a mysterious and invisible man just to be put into a competition to be his bride. So, as you can imagine, she was not happy.
One element that I really enjoyed was the friendship shown between the FMC, Nadira, and her friend, Eshe. The friendship was more along the lines of sisterly love, which I loved to see. The magical elements throughout the book were interesting, especially in regard to the MMC. I loved him as a character and thought the concept of invisibility was cool. As a reader, I loved getting to see his tough exterior while also getting to see the vulnerability beneath it.
This book really does give The Selection meets Throne of Glass vibes along with morally grey characters, slow burn, enemies to lovers, he falls first, and so much more!
This was a really good start to the story and I am excited to see where it goes.
