The story is based on the sayings from Lord Govind, the avatar of Vishnu “Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an upsurge in unrighteousness, at that time, I take birth again.” The story revolves around two main characters, Kali & Kalki, and is divided into two parts – The Battle of Shambala & Rise of Kali.
Kalki loses his close family. Bala, Arjan, Kripacharya, Padma, Kumar, Ratri, and Lakshmi are shown to be with Kalki. Durutti, Vedanta, Koko, Vikoko, Martanja, and Kuvera are shown to have slaved with Kali. The politics, betrayal, hatred towards other tribes and blood bath depicts that Kalyug has started and Adharm is spreading.
Kalki is sent to Lord Bhargav to train himself to be a savior of the world. Ratri and Lakshmi’s love for books makes them bond well. The characterization is done well and there were a few spelling errors in some places. The author has amazing storytelling skills and he has surely written a novel. The narration is good, and the plot is the one thing you won’t get bored of, but the thing which can make you buy this novel instantly is its cover. The book has a beautiful cover that perfectly suits the theme of the book.
Language is so simple in the way of understanding by all. It’s very interesting and adventurous more fantasy-oriented than history. Also, the author has created his own world of imagination beautifully with a timeline and map. Characters and places were also easily gettable without any complications.
This book the way it has created an ambiance of the places, kingdoms, and armies, is very enthralling. As a reader who loves non-fiction over fiction, after this one I have equal love for fiction. I would highly recommend this book, if you are very keen to have a refreshing story, which is a perfect blend of the fantasy of History, Mythology, Wars, Power, and Love.
